Seguin Matadors (Seguin, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Alice Coyotes (Alice, TX), 11-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Matadors now own a 14-5 record. They take the field next when they host Pieper for a 5A Region IV District 26 challenge on Tuesday, March 7. Seguin will face a Warriors squad coming off a 7-5 non-league win over Lytle (Lytle, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 10-9.

With the loss, Alice falls to 6-7 on the campaign. The Coyotes travel to FEAST HomeSchool (San Antonio, TX) to face the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 4. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 10-5. FEAST HomeSchool lost 12-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Jourdanton (Jourdanton, TX)
