Texas High School Softball - Holmes holds off Antonian Prep

Holmes Huskies (San Antonio, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Antonian Prep Apaches (San Antonio, TX), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Huskies now own a 4-7 record. They take the field next when they host Jay for a 6A Region IV District 29 challenge on Tuesday, March 7. Holmes will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 13-3 league loss to Sotomayor (San Antonio, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 7-7.

With the loss, Antonian Prep falls to 7-5 on the campaign. The Apaches travel to Clark (San Antonio, TX) to battle the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 4. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 7-6. Clark lost 4-2 in their recent league challenge against Madison (San Antonio, TX)
