In Saturday's non-league outing, the host Austin Black Bears softball team scored a close 5-3 win over the Hatton Hornets.

Coming up next, the Black Bears battle the Florence Falcons (Florence, AL) in a 7A Area 8 outing, on Monday, March 6. Austin will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record.

The Hornets (3-8) will now prepare for their outing against North Jackson (Stevenson, AL). The Chiefs enter the non-league outing with a 0-1 record. In their last outing, North Jackson by Tuscaloosa County (Northport, AL), 7-1, in a non-league outing.
