San Angelo Central Bobcats (San Angelo, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Ballinger Bearcats (Ballinger, TX), 13-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Bobcats now own a 12-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Midland for a 6A Region I District 2 challenge on Tuesday, March 14. San Angelo Central will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 15-2 non-league win over Idalou (Idalou, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-2.

With the loss, Ballinger falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Bearcats travel to Clyde (Clyde, TX) to battle the Bulldogs in a 3A Region I District 6 challenge on Tuesday, March 7. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 13-3. Clyde 2-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Stamford (Stamford, TX)
