In Saturday's non-league outing, the visiting Grand Saline Indians softball team scored a close 8-1 win over the Bastrop Bears.
Coming up next, the Indians encounter the Commerce Tigers (Commerce, TX) in a 3A Region II District 12 outing, on Tuesday, March 7. Grand Saline will attempt to improve on its 13-6 season record.
The Bears (3-5) will now prepare for their outing against Pflugerville (Pflugerville, TX). The Panthers enter the 5A Region III District 23 outing with a 10-3 record. In their last outing, Pflugerville was routed by Weiss (Pflugerville, TX), 2-1, in a non-league outing.
