In Saturday's non-league contest, the Calhoun Sandcrabs (Port Lavaca, TX) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Gonzales Apaches (Gonzales, TX), by a margin of 13-3.
With the triumph, Calhoun moves its record to 6-7 on the year. The Sandcrabs travel to Ganado (Ganado, TX) to play the Indians in a non-league contest on Saturday, March 4. The Indians come into the contest with a record of 15-2. Ganado won 6-4 in their recent non-league contest against Rockport-Fulton (Rockport, TX)
In their next game, the Apaches play the Smithville Tigers (Smithville, TX) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, March 7. Gonzales will attempt to move on its 3-12 season record. The Tigers come into the contest with a 1-11 record after their 5-1 non-league loss to Episcopal (Bellaire, TX).
