The Capistrano Valley Cougars softball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Downey Vikings to 1 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Capistrano Valley moves its record to 4-0 on the year. The Cougars travel to Saint Joseph (Lakewood, CA) to clash with the Jesters in a non-league game on Saturday, March 4. The Jesters come into the game with a record of 3-3. Saint Joseph lost 9-8 in their recent non-league game against Paramount (Paramount, CA)

In their next game, the Vikings clash with the Sunny Hills Lancers (Fullerton, CA) in a non-league game, on Thursday, March 9. Downey will attempt to move on its 3-4 season record. The Lancers come into the game with a 1-3 record after their 4-1 non-league win over Artesia (Lakewood, CA).
