Centennial Golden Hawks (Bakersfield, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Redondo Union Sea Hawks (Redondo Beach, CA), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Golden Hawks now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host St. Joseph for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 7. Centennial will face a Knights squad coming off a 5-0 non-league win over Viewpoint (Calabasas, CA). The Knights record now stands at 3-0.

With the loss, Redondo Union falls to 5-5 on the campaign. The Sea hawks host Culver City (Culver City, CA) to face the Centaurs in a Bay challenge on Wednesday, March 8. The Centaurs enter the challenge with a record of 5-6. Culver City lost 8-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Green Valley (Henderson, NV)
