The Georgetown Eagles softball team scored 8 runs and limited the visiting Dripping Springs Tigers to 5 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Georgetown improves its record to 17-4 on the year. The Eagles host Pflugerville Connally (Austin, TX) to clash with the Cougars in a 5A Region III District 23 game on Tuesday, March 7. The Cougars come into the game with a record of 0-5.

In their next game, the Tigers clash with the Johnson Jaguars (Buda, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 26 game, on Tuesday, March 7. Dripping Springs will attempt to improve on its 17-4 season record. The Jaguars come into the game with a 8-4 record after their 1-1 non-league Rouse (Leander, TX).
