Kaufman Lions (Kaufman, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Grand Prairie Gophers (Grand Prairie, TX), 5-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now own a 11-7 record. They take the field next when they host Brownsboro for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 7. Kaufman will battle a Bears squad coming off a 5-0 non-league loss to Tyler Legacy (Tyler, TX). The Bears record now stands at 8-7.

With the loss, Grand Prairie falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Gophers travel to North Mesquite (Mesquite, TX) to battle the Stallions in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 4.
