Hardin Hornets (Hardin, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Woodville Eagles (Woodville, TX), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets now sport a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they host Warren for a 3A Region III District 22 challenge on Tuesday, March 7. Hardin will face a Warriors squad coming off a 15-0 non-league loss to Little Cypress-Mauriceville (Orange, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Woodville falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Pollok Central (Pollok, TX) to face the Bulldogs in a 3A Region III District 21 challenge on Friday, March 24. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 14-4.
