Lake Creek Lions (Montgomery, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Shadow Creek Sharks (Pearland, TX), 5-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now own a 20-0 record. They take the field next when they host Montgomery for a 5A Region III District 21 challenge on Tuesday, March 7. Lake Creek will face a Bears squad coming off a 12-0 non-league loss to Georgetown (Georgetown, TX). The Bears record now stands at 4-8.

With the loss, Shadow Creek falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Sharks host Dickinson (Dickinson, TX) to face the Gators in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 7. The Gators enter the challenge with a record of 13-6. Dickinson lost 4-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Pearland (Pearland, TX)
