Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Southside Sharks (Youngsville, LA) and the host Port Barre Red Devils (Port Barre, LA), witnessed Southside's softball squad prevail over Port Barre by a count of 13-2.

The Sharks now sport a 1-2 record. They play next when they host New Iberia for a 5A District 3 match on Tuesday, April 4.

With the loss, Port Barre moves to 4-6 on the season. The Red devils host Welsh (Welsh, LA) to face the Greyhounds in a non-league match on Tuesday, March 7. The Greyhounds go into the match with a record of 0-1. Welsh lost 12-2 in their recent non-league match against Jennings (Jennings, LA)
