The Woodlawn Bears baseball team scored 3 runs and limited the visiting South Side Hornet to 2 in the Bears non-league victory on Monday.
The Bears (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Parkers Chapel (El Dorado, AR). The Trojans go into the 2A Region 8 match with a 5-1 record. In their last match, Parkers Chapel tipped Bearden (Bearden, AR), 12-4, in a non-league match.
The Hornet (2-3) will now prepare for their match against White County Central (Judsonia, AR). The Bears come into the 2A Region 2 challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, White County Central was nudged by Newport (Newport, AR), 21-0, in a non-league challenge.
