Warde Mustangs (Fairfield, CT) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Newington Nor'easters (Newington, CT), 66-63 in a non-league game.

In their next game, the Mustangs face the Trumbull Eagles (Trumbull, CT) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, March 6. Warde will attempt to move on its 11-10 season record. The Eagles enter the game with a 18-3 record after their 70-67 non-league win over Staples (Westport, CT).

With the defeat, Newington moves to 12-11 on the year.
