In Monday's non-league outing, the Somers Spartans (Somers, CT) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Gilbert Yellowjackets (Winsted, CT), by a count of 72-38.
The Spartans (17-5) will now prepare for their outing against Bolton (Bolton, CT). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 15-7 record. In their last outing, Bolton smashed Coginchaug Regional (Durham, CT), 47-39, in a non-league outing.
