North Iredell Raiders (Olin, NC) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team prevail over the visiting Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC), 6-2 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Raiders confront the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, March 7. North Iredell will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Huskies enter the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 4-0 non-league win over Surry Central (Dobson, NC).
The Buckin' Elks now have a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wilkes Central for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 8. Elkin will confront a Eagles team coming off a 5-1 non-league loss to Watauga (Boone, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 0-1.
