In Monday's non-league battle, the host North Buncombe Black Hawks soccer squad scored a close 1-0 win over the Swain County Maroon Devils.

The Black Hawks (3-1) will now prepare for their battle against Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC). The Mustangs go into the non-league battle with a 1-2 record. In their last battle, Smoky Mountain was nudged by Brevard (Brevard, NC), 5-1, in a non-league battle.
