Castor Tigers (Castor, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Southwood Cowboys (Shreveport, LA), 23-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cedar Creek for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 5. Castor will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 14-3 non-league loss to Mamou (Mamou, LA). The Cougars record now stands at 2-5.

With the loss, Southwood falls to 1-13 on the campaign. The Cowboys travel to Captain Shreve (Shreveport, LA) to battle the Gators in a 5A District 1 challenge on Tuesday, March 5. The Gators enter the challenge with a record of 7-2. Captain Shreve lost 12-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Minden (Minden, LA)
