The crowd at Monday's non-league match between the Viola Longhorns (Viola, AR) and the visiting Cave City Cavemen (Cave City, AR), saw Viola's softball squad achieve victory over Cave City by a count of 13-0.

The Longhorns now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Hillcrest for a non-league match on Tuesday, March 5.

With the loss, Cave City falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Cavemen host Mountain View (Mountain View, AR) to face the Yellowjackets in a 3A Region 2 match on Tuesday, March 5. The Yellowjackets enter the match with a record of 1-0. Mountain View won 16-1 in their recent non-league match against White County Central (Judsonia, AR)
