Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the Midland Mustangs (Pleasant Plains, AR) and the host West Side Eagles (Greers Ferry, AR), witnessed Midland's softball squad tip West Side by a count of 7-4.

The Mustangs now sport a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Bradford for a 1A Region 5 match on Thursday, March 7.

With the loss, West Side moves to 0-1 on the season. The Eagles host Norfork (Norfork, AR) to meet the Panthers in a 1A Region 2 match on Tuesday, March 5. The Panthers go into the match with a record of 0-1. Norfork lost 17-0 in their recent league match against Calico Rock (Calico Rock, AR)
