Arizona High School Softball - Sabino bounces Rio Rico

Sabino Sabercats (Tucson, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Rio Rico Hawks (Rio Rico, AZ), 12-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Sabercats now own a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to Walden Grove for a non-league match on Wednesday, March 6. Sabino will face a Red Wolves squad coming off a 12-2 non-league win over Vista Grande (Casa Grande, AZ). The Red Wolves record now stands at 5-2.

With the loss, Rio Rico moves to 1-5 on the season. The Hawks travel to Mica Mountain (Tucson, AZ) to face the Thunderbolts in a 4A Gila match on Wednesday, March 6. The Thunderbolts go into the match with a record of 6-3. Mica Mountain won 8-4 in their recent non-league match against Tanque Verde (Tucson, AZ)
