In Tuesday's non-league game, the visiting Lower Richland Diamond Hornets baseball team scored a close 13-8 win over the C.A. Johnson Hornets.
The Diamond Hornets (1-0) will now prepare for their game against South Florence (Florence, SC). The Bruins go into the 4A Region 5 game with a 3-0 record. In their last game, South Florence nudged Wilson (Florence, SC), 14-0, in a non-league game.
Next, the Hornets play the Great Falls Red Devils (Great Falls, SC) in a 1A Region 3 game, on Tuesday, March 11. C.A. Johnson will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record.
