West Virginia High School Basketball - Elkins thwarts Preston

The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Elkins Tigers (Elkins, WV) and the host Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV), observed Elkins's basketball team knock off Preston by a score of 52-37.

The Tigers (11-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Grafton (Grafton, WV). The Bearcats come into the non-league challenge with a 2-17 record. In their last challenge, Grafton was knocked off by North Marion (Farmington, WV), 81-42, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Knights encounter the Wheeling Park Patriots (Wheeling, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, March 7. Preston will attempt to improve on its 11-10 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 5-16 record after their 75-38 non-league loss to Spring Mills (Martinsburg, WV).
