Virginia High School Basketball - Meridian holds off New Kent

In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Meridian Mustangs basketball team scored a close 51-45 triumph over the New Kent Trojans.

The Mustangs (27-0) will now prepare for their contest against Hopewell (Hopewell, VA). The Blue Devils go into the non-league contest with a 22-2 record. In their last contest, Hopewell nipped William Monroe (Stanardsville, VA), 68-39, in a non-league contest.
