Georgia High School Soccer - Newton knocks off Alcovy

The Newton Rams soccer team scored 6 points and limited the visiting Alcovy Tigers to 0 in the Rams non-league triumph on Tuesday.
With the triumph, Newton advances its record to 1-5 on the campaign. The Rams host Grovetown (Grovetown, GA) to clash with the Warriors in a 6A Area 4 test on Friday, March 7. The Warriors come into the test with a record of 2-5. Grovetown lost 1-0 in their recent league test against Archer (Lawrenceville, GA)
The Tigers now have a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they host Habersham Central for a 5A Area 8 test on Friday, March 7. Alcovy will clash with a Raiders team coming off a 2-1 league win over Apalachee (Winder, GA). The Raiders record now stands at 3-2.
