North Carolina High School Softball - South Caldwell edges East Rutherford

In Tuesday's non-league match, the host South Caldwell Spartans softball team scored a tight 3-1 win over the East Rutherford Cavaliers.
The Spartans (3-0) will now prepare for their match against Maiden (Maiden, NC). The Blue Devils come into the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Maiden nipped East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC), 8-7, in a league match.
In their next game, the Cavaliers confront the McDowell Titans (Marion, NC) in a non-league match, on Thursday, March 6. East Rutherford will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record. The Titans come into the match with a 1-3 record after their 12-11 non-league loss to West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC).
