New Mexico High School Softball - Rio Grande bounces Sandia Prep

March 4, 2025: Albuquerque, NM 87105

The Rio Grande Ravens softball team scored 17 runs and held the visiting Sandia Prep Sundevils to 5 in the Ravens non-league win on Tuesday.

The Ravens now possess a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Mountain for a non-league battle on Saturday, March 8. Rio Grande will confront a Timberwolves team coming off a 24-9 non-league loss to Pojoaque Valley (Pojoaque, NM). The Timberwolves record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Sandia Prep moves to 0-4 on the season. The Sundevils host Hope Christian (Albuquerque, NM) to play the Huskies in a non-league game on Thursday, March 6. The Huskies enter the game with a record of 0-0.
