The Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) baseball the visiting Willow Spring Storm (Fuquay-Varina, NC), 7-2 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.

The Patriots now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Jack Britt for a Mid-South 7A/8A challenge on Friday, March 6. Pinecrest will clash with a Buccaneers team coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Cape Fear (Fayetteville, NC). The Buccaneers record now stands at 1-2.

With the defeat, Willow Spring drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Storm travel to Fuquay-Varina (Fuquay-Varina, NC) to encounter the Bengals in a non-league bout on Thursday, March 5. The Bengals enter the bout with a record of 1-2. Fuquay-Varina lost 5-4 in their recent non-league bout against West Forsyth (Clemmons, NC)
