In Wednesday's non-league game, the visiting Taft Wildcats baseball team scored a close 13-7 victory over the Bakersfield Drillers.

The Wildcats (4-3) will now prepare for their match against Strathmore (Strathmore, CA). The Spartans come into the non-league match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Strathmore tipped Firebaugh (Firebaugh, CA), 17-2, in a non-league match.

The Drillers now possess a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Golden Valley for a non-league match on Friday, March 13.
