Eula Pirates (Clyde, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Clyde Bulldogs (Clyde, TX), 7-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to May for a 2A Region I District 8 challenge on Thursday, March 11.

With the loss, Clyde falls to 2-7 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Cisco (Cisco, TX) to face the Loboes in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 6. The Loboes enter the challenge with a record of 2-5. Cisco won 6-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Cooper (Abilene, TX)
