The Meridian Wildcats baseball team scored 15 runs and limited the host Hattiesburg Tigers to 7 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Saturday.
The Wildcats (5-5) will now prepare for their match against Oak Grove (Hattiesburg, MS). The Warriors go into the 6A Region 5 match with a 6-3 record. In their last match, Oak Grove gained a win over West Marion (Foxworth, MS), 12-2, in a non-league match.
The Tigers (1-8) will now prepare for their match against Presbyterian Christian (Hattiesburg, MS). The Bobcats go into the non-league match with a 6-3 record. In their last match, Presbyterian Christian was overwhelmed by Wayne Academy (Waynesboro, MS), 2-1, in a non-league match.
