The Robstown Cottonpickers baseball team scored 6 runs and limited the visiting La Joya Coyotes to 5 in the Cottonpickers non-league victory on Saturday.
The Cottonpickers (4-4) will now prepare for their match against East Central (San Antonio, TX). The Hornets go into the non-league match with a 4-3 record. In their last match, East Central tipped Brandeis (San Antonio, TX), 6-5, in a non-league match.
The Coyotes (2-5) will now prepare for their match against Vela (Edinburg, TX). The Sabercats go into the 6A Region IV District 31 match with a 6-6 record. In their last match, Vela was edged by Gregory-Portland (Portland, TX), 6-4, in a non-league match.
