The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Merced Bears (Merced, CA) and the host St. Joseph Knights (Santa Maria, CA), saw Merced's volleyball squad nip St. Joseph by a tally of 1-0.

With the win, Merced upgrades its record to 8-3 on the year. The Bears travel to Nipomo (Nipomo, CA) to play the Titans in a non-league bout on Saturday, March 5. The Titans go into the bout with a record of 7-3. Nipomo won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Morro Bay (Morro Bay, CA)

The Knights now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Orcutt Academy for a Ocean bout on Thursday, March 10.
