In Saturday's non-league game, the visiting Gadsden Panthers baseball team scored a tight 8-5 victory over the Cobre Indians.
The Panthers (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Mayfield (Las Cruces, NM). The Trojans go into the game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, Mayfield tipped Santa Teresa (Santa Teresa, NM), 6-0, in a non-league game.
The Indians (3-2) will now prepare for their game against Deming (Deming, NM). The Wildcats go into the non-league game with a 3-3 record. In their last game, Deming by Santa Teresa (Santa Teresa, NM), 11-6, in a non-league game.
