Mississippi High School Softball - Pine Grove nudges Alcorn Central

Pine Grove Panthers (Ripley, MS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Alcorn Central Bears (Glen, MS), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Panthers now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mantachie for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 10.
With the loss, Alcorn Central falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Bears host Corinth (Corinth, MS) to face the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 11. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 4-3.
