The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Assumption Mustangs (Napoleonville, LA) and the visiting Patterson Lumberjacks (Patterson, LA), saw Assumption's softball squad nip Patterson by a count of 8-2.

The Mustangs now sport a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they host Riverside Academy for a non-league match on Saturday, March 5.

With the loss, Patterson falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Lumberjacks travel to Bourgeois (Gray, LA) to face the Braves in a non-league match on Monday, March 7. The Braves enter the match with a record of 4-5. Bourgeois lost 7-4 in their recent non-league match against Archbishop Chapelle (Metairie, LA)
