Poth Pirates (Poth, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Blanco Panthers (Blanco, TX), 6-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lytle for a 3A Region IV District 27 challenge on Tuesday, March 8.

With the loss, Blanco falls to 10-3 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Antonian Prep (San Antonio, TX) to battle the Apaches in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 8. The Apaches enter the challenge with a record of 0-5. Antonian Prep lost 13-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Calallen (Corpus Christi, TX)
