The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Calabasas Coyotes (Calabasas, CA) and the host Simi Valley Pioneers (Simi Valley, CA), saw Calabasas's softball squad nip Simi Valley by a count of 6-1.

The Coyotes now sport a 4-8 record. They take the field next when they host Thousand Oaks for a Marmonte match on Tuesday, March 8. Calabasas will face a Lancers squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Arroyo Grande (Arroyo Grande, CA). The Lancers record now stands at 5-7.

With the loss, Simi Valley falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Pioneers host Moorpark (Moorpark, CA) to face the Musketeers in a Coastal Canyon match on Thursday, March 10. The Musketeers enter the match with a record of 7-0.
