The Harlingen South Hawks softball team scored 6 runs and limited the visiting Calhoun Sandcrabs to 1 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Harlingen South moves its record to 7-2 on the year. The Hawks host Donna North (Donna, TX) to play the Chiefs in a 6A Region IV District 32 game on Tuesday, March 15. The Chiefs come into the game with a record of 0-3.

In their next game, the Sandcrabs play the West Oso Bears (Corpus Christi, TX) in a 4A Region IV District 26 game, on Tuesday, March 8. Calhoun will attempt to move on its 1-11 season record. The Bears come into the game with a 2-7 record after their 15-0 non-league loss to Medina Valley (Castroville, TX).
