Central Red Devils (Phenix City, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Sparkman Senators (Harvest, AL), 6-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Red Devils now own a 11-2 record. They take the field next when they host Sardis for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 5. Central will battle a Lions squad coming off a 5-0 non-league win over Guntersville (Guntersville, AL). The Lions record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Sparkman falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Senators host James Clemens (Madison, AL) to battle the Jets in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 7. The Jets enter the challenge with a record of 0-2. James Clemens lost 13-0 in their recent league challenge against Bob Jones (Madison, AL)
