North Carolina High School Softball - McDowell gets by Franklin

March 5, 2022: Franklin, NC 28734

The McDowell Titans (Marion, NC) softball nipped the host Franklin Panthers (Franklin, NC), 9-8 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Titans (3-0) will now prepare for their bout against R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC). The Hilltoppers go into the non-league bout with a 0-2 record. In their last bout, R-S Central was edged by Burns (Lawndale, NC), 4-2, in a non-league bout.

The Panthers now possess a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Crest for a non-league bout on Saturday, March 5. Franklin will confront a Chargers squad coming off a 5-1 non-league win over R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC). The Chargers record now stands at 1-0.
