The Hemphill Hornets softball team scored 6 runs and limited the host Joaquin Rams to 5 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Saturday.
With the triumph, Hemphill moves its record to 10-7 on the year. The Hornets travel to Wells (Wells, TX) to clash with the Pirates in a non-league game on Saturday, March 5. The Pirates come into the game with a record of 1-2. Wells lost 17-2 in their recent non-league game against West Sabine (Pineland, TX)
In their next game, the Rams clash with the Timpson Bears (Timpson, TX) in a 2A Region III District 22 game, on Friday, March 11. Joaquin will attempt to move on its 1-8 season record. The Bears come into the game with a 8-4 record after their 12-5 league win over Shelbyville (Shelbyville, TX).
