The Hemphill Hornets softball team scored 9 runs and limited the host Wells Pirates to 0 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Hemphill improves its record to 10-7 on the year. The Hornets host West Sabine (Pineland, TX) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league game on Tuesday, March 8. The Tigers come into the game with a record of 9-3. West Sabine won 6-3 in their recent non-league game against Center (Center, TX)

In their next game, the Pirates clash with the Groveton Indians (Groveton, TX) in a 2A Region III District 21 game, on Friday, March 25. Wells will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record.
