In Saturday's non-league contest, the Shadow Creek Sharks (Pearland, TX) softball team held off the visiting Willis Wildkats (Willis, TX), by a margin of 9-8.
With the triumph, Shadow Creek moves its record to 5-2 on the year. The Sharks travel to Alvin (Alvin, TX) to play the Yellowjackets in a 6A Region III District 23 contest on Friday, March 11. The Yellowjackets come into the contest with a record of 10-6.
In their next game, the Wildkats play the Huntsville Hornets (Huntsville, TX) in a non-league contest, on Monday, March 7. Willis will attempt to move on its 6-11 season record. The Hornets come into the contest with a 11-8 record after their 5-4 non-league loss to Marshall (Marshall, TX).
