Middletown Islanders (Middletown, RI) backers were pleased Sunday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Barrington Eagles (Barrington, RI), 65-59 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Middletown upgrades its record to 19-6 on the campaign. The Islanders travel to La Salle Academy (Providence, RI) to play the Rams in a non-league bout on Saturday, March 11. The Rams come into the bout with a record of 28-1. La Salle Academy won 75-46 in their recent non-league bout against St. Raphael Academy (Pawtucket, RI)
