Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC), 3-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Draughn upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Wildcats host Freedom (Morganton, NC) to battle the Patriots in a non-league test on Monday, March 11. The Patriots come into the test with a record of 3-2. Freedom won 13-3 in their recent non-league test against Mitchell (Bakersville, NC)

With the defeat, South Caldwell falls to 1-2 on the season. The Spartans host Lincoln Charter (Denver, NC) to battle the Eagles in a non-league test on Thursday, March 7. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 1-2. Lincoln Charter won 5-4 in their recent league test against Corvian Community (Charlotte, NC)
