The Myers Park Mustangs routed the visiting Independence Patriots basketball team by a final score of 54-24 in Tuesday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Mustangs face the North Mecklenburg Vikings (Huntersville, NC) in a non-league game, on Friday, March 8. Myers Park will attempt to move on its 27-2 season record. The Vikings enter the game with a 27-3 record after their 45-42 non-league win over Mount Tabor (Winston-Salem, NC).

With the defeat, Independence moves to 20-9 on the year.
