The South Johnston Trojans baseball team scored 5 runs and limited the visiting Clayton Comets to 1 in the Trojans non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Trojans (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Smithfield-Selma (Smithfield, NC). The Spartans go into the non-league match with a 0-4 record. In their last match, Smithfield-Selma was overwhelmed by Princeton (Princeton, NC), 25-3, in a non-league match.
The Comets (1-2) will now prepare for their match against Heritage (Wake Forest, NC). The Huskies go into the non-league match with a 1-1 record.
