The Lee Park Prep Knights softball team scored 22 runs and limited the visiting Monroe Redhawks to 0 in the Knights non-league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Lee Park Prep improves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Knights host Gaston Christian (Gastonia, NC) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league game on Thursday, March 7. The Eagles come into the game with a record of 0-2. Gaston Christian lost 1-0 in their recent non-league game against Charlotte Latin (Charlotte, NC)

In their next game, the Redhawks clash with the Queen's Grant Stallions (Matthews, NC) in a non-league game, on Monday, March 11. Monroe will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Stallions come into the game with a 5-0 record after their 13-8 non-league win over Union Preparatory (Indian Trail, NC).
